Old Republic traces its beginnings to 1923, although several acquired subsidiaries began operations much earlier. The Company is one of America's 50 largest shareholder-owned insurance businesses. Its subsidiaries market, underwrite, and provide risk management services for a wide variety of coverages, predominantly in the general (property and liability), mortgage guaranty, and title insurance fields. The Company is primarily a commercial lines underwriter serving the insurance needs of a large number of organizations, including many of America's leading industrial and financial services institutions.

GENERAL INSURANCE GROUP
Provides commercial lines of property and liability insurance and reinsurance, predominantly to industrial, mining, transportation, and financial services companies, as well as actuarial consulting, tax planning, claims control, and management of captive or retrospectively-rated insurance programs. Ranks among the 100 largest property and liability insurance groups in the United States.

MORTGAGE GUARANTY GROUP
Provides residential mortgage guaranty insurance for first mortgage loans to mortgage bankers, commercial banks, thrifts, credit unions, and other financial institutions. Sixth largest independent mortgage insurer in America, with an approximate 11% market share.

TITLE INSURANCE GROUP
Provides title insurance and related real estate transfer services for individuals, businesses, and government entities. One of the top five title insurers in the nation in terms of revenues, with an approximate 6% market share.

LIFE INSURANCE GROUP
Provides life and health insurance to consumers through lending institutions, automobile dealers, and brokers. Focuses on term and specialty insurance products.
